Ashes to ashes; mud to mud

We thought we were done with mud after the foundations.. Not so!

Uncovering the well/pump end of the water line

Uncovering the suply end of the gas line conduit: only a meter or so down in running ground water

Typical mud season fashion statement

A new trench to make a 45 degree bend and not a 90 degree one in the house end of the water line

The trench looks so small here: not so if you were the one digging it out by hand!

Cable & conduit, Wires & water

Inside: pulling the cable from the main external breaker box to the interior house panel - the beginning

Inside: pulling the cable from the main external breaker box to the interior house panel - the the end

House panel

Outside: Main panel and the small solar production meter

And the mud: oh joy NOT

The all important green tag: good to go for the next step, actually having the mains power connected

Uncovering the water pipe to the house in anticipation of connecting it and the spark to the well and well-pump. More digging in mud.

Hard to see: peregrine falcon @ Agate Beach Newport OR [center of frame]

A raft of rafters: front porch

Busy busy: you can see the roofing shingles on the garage roof, staged and ready to go

The night before the day before the day before the day after

Instruments of torture: drilling 25 cm [10 inch] deep 18mm [5/8"] diameter holes in the post bases

Do not believe the smile, this was excruciatingly hard

It takes a village
Bob primes the front porch ledger board
Jeff hard at measuring
That's not drill: this is a drill
Jeff drilling, Lindy sanding
Color matching
Night shift: in the rain getting the porch posts set
Cutting the porch beams to length
Beam placement: more on that below
Roofing happening
Roofing

Closing it in!!!!
More night work: rafters
